About MIKO
Why MIKO exists
MIKO was created because traditional learning formats rarely change behaviour. Many organisations are looking for an approach that is as engaging as a game — while remaining affordable, quick to create and substantial in content.

From costly games to practical decision-making
In projects with small and medium-sized businesses, we kept seeing the same pattern: game development can be compelling, but for most organisations it is too expensive and too resource-intensive. At the same time, the potential is clear. Game design brings together exactly what learning needs: clear goals, meaningful feedback and decisions people can experience. MIKO translates these principles into a focused format: scenarios in which people make decisions, experience consequences and genuinely apply what they know. The result is the motivation of game design – without the cost and complexity of building a game.

MIKO was developed by Rotmont
Rotmont is a Swiss agency for branding, transformation and Game Thinking. We work with organisations to shape strategies and learning content that create real impact in everyday work.
MIKO grew from a clear insight: traditional learning formats communicate knowledge, but they rarely lead to lasting behavioural change. MIKO therefore translates core principles of game design into a focused, practical learning format: clear goals, decisions, feedback and immediately experienced consequences. This makes MIKO a scenario-based learning engine that enables organisations to turn existing content into interactive decision-making training in just a few hours — and turn knowledge into action. MIKO is led at Rotmont by Heidrun Föhn, Managing Director, whose background spans game design, UX/UI design, positive psychology and marketing.
